Job Description
We are seeking a professional Electrical Coordinator to join our Project Management Site Team at our utility-scale wind, solar and battery storage sites in Illinois. This position is responsible for the oversight of electrical construction activities associated with the sites including transmission lines, underground collection systems, substations, wind turbine foundation, and turbine access road installation. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role will verify all electrical systems, workmanship and equipment are in compliance with codes, regulations, project specification, and Apex’s quality standards. Focus will be placed on ensuring a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound construction environment.
Our ideal candidate will come into this role with significant experience in a similar role responsible for the oversight of electrical construction activities at a utility-scale wind farm or solar farm, specifically in High Voltage scope installations.
This position will require a flexible schedule that includes extended hours to include weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for oversight of electrical construction activities associated with the sites to include transmission lines, underground collection systems, substation, wind turbine foundation and turbine access road installation.
- Surveys and inspects the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and electrical components and equipment throughout various industrial applications and projects
- Inspect, identify, and recommend repairs to defects in electrical work
- Conduct tool inspections for company and customer electrical tool trucks
- Monitor and inspect workmanship and performance of electrical personnel and maintain quality code-compliant standards and continuous improvement
- Effectively communicate issues, questions, or concerns to onsite personnel and to Electrical Services management and engineering personnel
- Interpret regulations, Codes, and industry standards and properly apply them throughout inspections and surveys
- Provide detailed field reports, paperwork and documentation
- Read, understand and apply design/construction drawings and be able to understand design narratives and calculations
- Responsible for helping to ensure site safety throughout all phases of construction
- Verify all electrical systems, workmanship and equipment are in compliance with codes, regulations, project specification, and Apex’s quality standards
- Demonstrates superior workmanship and quality in all work areas.
- May act as the technical interface with the customer and with other Apex departments

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Certified Electrician Card and Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role responsible for the oversight of electrical construction activities at a utility-scale wind or solar farm
- 5+ years overseeing the electrical construction activities associated with a wind farm to include transmission lines, underground collection systems, substation, wind turbine foundation and turbine access road insta
