About the role
The pharmacy intern position is an experiential training position that allows pharmacist interns to gain hands on experience and competence while under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The job responsibilities in essence parallel and correspond with those of a pharmacist, while in a pharmacist supervised environment: provides quality pharmaceutical care through the accurate interpretation and dispensing of medication orders and clinical involvement with providers, allied health staff and patients regarding medication therapy decisions.
- Currently enrolled or a graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education accredited School of Pharmacy OR passage of the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination.
- Eligible for Internship by the Wisconsin State Pharmacy Examining Board.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills. Able to tolerate high stress levels and frequent interruptions. Utilizes mature, independent judgment.
