What You'll Do:

 

As a Senior DevOps Engineer and Linux Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability and scalability of our platform to run mission-critical customer workloads. In your role you will be in charge of providing Server Management support for SAP's key cloud products

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Act as a superior team player with high-quality standards and a cloud-first mindset, challenging the status quo to drive innovation.
• Manage the full lifecycle of Linux servers operating in both native and cloud environments
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Linux and Platform issues effectively
• Work on tickets and provide on-call support.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Linux and Cloud-related topics.
• Leverage DevOps tools to develop and maintain automation solutions.
• Collaborate within an international team, acting as a key interface between Application, Infrastructure, and Tools teams.
• Participate in various projects, proof-of-concept initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of ITIL processes.

Key Qualifications

 

• Educational Background: Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Information Technology
• Strong experience managing Linux servers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Cloud Technology experience in one of the hyperscaler AWS or Azure
• Open, friendly, and creative personality with a strong sense of responsibility and professional "can-do" attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, deliver quality work under time constraints, and thrive in complex environments with minimal guidance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

 

Preferred Skills

 

• Knowledge of SAP’s core technologies, including ABAP, NetWeaver, and HANA.
• Knowledge of server/database and application layer architecture
• Automation experience in DevOps environment, preferably Ansible
• Understanding of operational practices like agile/scrum, CI/CD, and ITIL.
• Out-of-the-box thinker, committed to making the impossible possible.
