Responsibilities
Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant activities within the DOH Regional Offices. Specific duties will include overseeing program planning/activities, ensuring compliance with CDC Public Health Infrastructure grant requirements, streamlining communication between Central, Regional Offices and Local Health Departments, hosting workgroup meetings to bring Central OPH Programs and Services to Regional Offices. The Senior Program Coordinator will be responsible for representing the office on workgroups, supervising staff working with local health departments, providing technical assistance to Regional Offices as it relates to CDC reporting, recruitment and retention activities, and other appropriate related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. The experience must have been contributing toward the development, implementation and/or evaluation of a program, project or other related activities. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with contract/program management and provision of technical assistance to service providers.
Experience with policy analysis and development.
Experience monitoring and evaluating programs and quality improvement activities within a public health, health, government, or social service setting.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel, up to 25% of the time, may be required.
The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
