Application Engineer (Databases & Scripting)

On behalf of our client, a cutting-edge web applications global leader specializing in Data Management platforms, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic Application Engineer to join its technical team.

A day in the life of an ‘Application Engineer’

The right candidate will deploy and support our Customer Communications Management solutions to major clients.

Your day-to-day

• Application Engineering: Gathering requirements, implementing, testing and documenting projects including various company solutions, conducting business analysis, putting into production and training key users
• Consulting: Acting as a liaison between clients and the Company
• Technical Support: Validating and investigating issues reported by customers (1st and 2nd level support). Testing the quality of the deliverables before releasing them in the project (quality assurance)

Requirements

• Solid Technical or IT Background
• Understanding of XML Related Technologies
• Database experience in formatting SQL Queries (SQL and/or Oracle)
• Basic Programming in any language or Scripting Experience with any scripting language
• Knowledge of XSL, XSL-FO, XSLT transformations, will be considered as a plus
• Knowledge of Apache Velocity will be considered as a plus
• Familiar with Git or SVN versioning control system
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Customer management and communication skills
