Job Description

The Senior Director, Value-Based Care is responsible for leading the successful performance of Privia Quality Network-Central (PQN) FL / Privia Medical Group - FL in defined value-based care programs. This includes operating in a highly complex market, including employed and independent providers in highly varied practice models. The leader will maintain and enhance existing physician governance models, ensure processes support meeting cost, quality, and patient experience targets, and maintain a connection to the market’s operational leaders across specialties. The ultimate goal for this individual is to oversee PQN Central FL’s success in value-based care programs.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Own and maintain accountability for success in high-value contracts, including MSSP and MA contracts. Maintain a cadence of success in Pay-for-Performance programs.
  • Promote and obtain efficient vended or internally hosted tools and resources for VBC tactic teams and engaged provider leaders to meet performance targets. 
  • Ensure that the staffing structure and budget for the VBC team meets the demands of the market in a cost-effective manner as it grows. Assess and maintain provider engagement through partnership with providers leaders and maintenance of provider governance in the market, including the PQN Board of Directors and other leader teams
  • Maintain bi-directional communication with executive market and corporate leader teams on market performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with National VBC team on infrastructure development and adoption
  • Use data and analytics to help develop, impact, and monitor the market’s performance.
  • Consult with payer contracting teams to ensure current and future programs align with market strategy.
  • Take a leadership role in payer joint operating committees
  • Maintain a connection to national network management leadership to ensure local market leaders are aware and responsive to key players in the market
  • Partner with the Sales team in activities requiring VBC representation.
  • Maintain relationships with partner leaders of CINs, IPAs and similar systems in the market.  
  • Facilitate data sharing between Privia and employer groups 
  • Demonstrate excellence in communication; express complex ideas ideas clearly and effectively to a varied audience of physicians, care center staff, and Privia employees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience as a project or program leader within healthcare
  • Ideally, has had P&L responsibility in prior roles
  • A proven ability to gain trust and work effectively with providers and their teams
  • Documented experience in a high-growth environment and proven ability to develop and implement existing operating infrastructure including people, processes and IT systems
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining a strong operating organization, reinforcing the mission and culture of an enterprise as exemplified by uniform standards and consistent performance
  • Strong orientation toward client service, quality, and team building
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
