Overview
Abound at SOUND! SOUND Behavioral Health is growing, and we are hiring a talent acquisition coordinator in Tukwila, WA! Sound is one of King County’s most comprehensive providers of quality mental health and addiction treatment services, supporting our area’s most vulnerable populations.
The talent acquisition coordinator provides essential scheduling, communication, and applicant tracking support for the recruitment team. This role plays a critical part in delivering a responsive and organized candidate experience while ensuring smooth coordination with hiring managers. The talent acquisition coordinator also assists with reviewing applications, screening applicants, and managing Sound’s applicant tracking system (ATS), helping to ensure qualified candidates are appropriately routed or declined in a timely, equitable manner.
This role supports succession planning for the recruitment function and offers opportunities for growth into more advanced talent acquisition responsibilities over time. A commitment to maintaining excellent internal and external customer service is key to success in this position.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional flexibility for recruitment events.
Location: Hybrid, but must reside in the Greater Seattle Area. There are some in-person expectations in our Tukwila East office (6400 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188).

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Scheduling & Meeting Coordination
- Schedule and confirm interviews between candidates and hiring managers, as needed
- Coordinate phone screens with the senior recruiter
- Schedule kickoff meetings with the senior recruiter for newly approved roles to align on the recruitment strategy
- Arrange check-in meetings for roles to ensure progress and identify hiring needs
General Recruiting Correspondence
- Monitor and respond to emails in the Recruitment Inbox, including:
- Candidate inquiries about application status or confirmation of receipt
- Questions from hiring managers related to general recruitment processes or system use
- Assist the Senior Recruiter with communication related to hiring manager requests and ATS support
- Support new hires and interns with pre-onboarding questions and next steps.
Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management
- Maintain job postings on internal and external platforms, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Assist with reviewing incoming applications and managing applicant flow
- Screen and decline unqualified candidates, including sending appropriate communications
- Tag, track, and update applicants in filled positions
- Recommend candidates for consideration in other open roles based on qualifications and interest
- Ensure accuracy of candidate statuses and notes within the ATS
- Confirm that the offer letter has been signed and background check has been initiated
- Notify and coordinate with the People Operations Coordinator when an applicant is ready to transition into the onboarding phase
