Job Duties: This is professional work developing and maintaining cybersecurity plans, strategy and policy to support and align with organizational cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer and is reviewed by conferences and evaluation of results obtained. The incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Chief Information Security Officer.

- Analyze organizational cyber policy.
- Interpret and apply applicable laws, statutes, and regulatory documents and integrate into policy.
- Develop policy, programs, and guidelines for implementation.
- Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders.
- Review existing and proposed policies with stakeholders.
- Seek consensus on proposed policy changes from stakeholders.
- Assess policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies to govern cyber activities.
- In collaboration with the CISO, review and refine vendor cybersecurity requirements for information systems and services contracts.
- Review and recommend vendor cybersecurity requirements that are appropriate for each engagement.
- Serve on agency and interagency policy boards.
- Promote awareness of cyber policy and strategy as appropriate.
- Monitor the rigorous application of cyber policies, principles, and practices.
- Provide policy guidance to cyber management, staff, and users.
- Review, conduct, or participate in audits of cyber programs and projects.
Strongly desired: 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in strategic planning to navigate emerging technologies that have potential for exploitation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of current and emerging cyber technologies.
- Ability to determine the validity of technology trend data.
