- Essential Functions:
- Cleans and maintains floors in buildings and facilities, including tasks like stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Notifies managers of any needed repairs or maintenance in building systems related to floor care.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Adheres to all safety, compliance, and quality standards set by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Must be flexible and willing to complete all assigned tasks related to floor care and maintenance.
- Responsibilities:
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming. Uses chemical cleaners and power equipment properly to prevent damage to floors.
- Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors using the appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Mixes water and detergents or other cleaning agents to prepare cleaning solutions as per specifications.
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including the application of spot treatment when needed.
- Gathers and empties trash, ensuring a clean and tidy environment.
- Keeps janitorial supplies well-stocked and maintains equipment in good working order.
- Services and cleans restrooms and other common areas as needed.
- Monitors building safety by ensuring areas are clean and hazard-free.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned related to floor and facility cleanliness.
