General Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with programmatic training and monitoring in child development, health, family services, and administration.
  2. Onboard new staff focusing on curriculum implementation, active supervision, and daily health, safety, and monitoring procedures.
  3. Implement Child Development Associate Training Program, including classroom monitoring and individual guidance.
  4. Serve as site supervisor or lead teacher when necessary.
  5. Monitor classroom practices, curriculum implementation, lesson plans, daily schedules, routines, and transitions.
  6. Conduct monthly visits to observe classrooms, review records, and ensure program compliance.
  7. Make recommendations for funding allocations of classroom supplies and equipment.
  8. Plan education services integrated with health, safety, mental health, nutrition, and family engagement.
  9. Conduct training for staff in child development and develop training for newly hired education staff and volunteers.
  10. Facilitate educational training for staff and parents, and participate in parent engagement activities.
  11. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Requirements

  

  1. Master’s degree in early childhood education or related field with 36 hours of child development.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with young children and families.
  3. Obtain CLASS Reliability within 1 year of hire.
  4. Meet personnel qualifications as required in Part 407: Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers.
  5. Experience working with diverse racial/cultural groups.
  6. Ability to work independently and accept increased levels of responsibility.
  7. Knowledge and experience with Head Start program and performance standards.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams).
  9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Pass background clearance, physical, and TB test; valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
