Sr Application Analyst

What does a successful Sr. Application Analyst do?

You will join the team at our Fishers, IN location and you will be responsible to enhance and support the Customer Information System in a mainframe environment utilizing, COBOL, MVS/JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS, and VSAM. You will research trouble tickets submitted by stakeholders and help to develop software through PL/SQL coding and UNIX scripting. You will troubleshoot problems and monitor project implementations. 

What you will do:

• Use your experience with COBOL, MVS/JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS, and VSAM in a mainframe application environment.

• Develop software to integrate with software applications

• Define the output the system or application is to produce based on users' tasks

• Create, report and correct technical documentation for software applications and infrastructure

• Perform technical duties such as product installation, system configuration, writing or executing SQL queries and creating Oracle stored procedures, functions and triggers using PL/SQL

• Diagnose problem trends to find its root cause to minimize downtime

• Prepare technical designs for modifications and integrations to applications to support business processes and requirements

What you will need to have:

• Per contractual obligations, must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a qualified United States Government security clearance (e.g., US DOD Secret)

• 7+ years of software application development experience

• Experience with COBOL, MVS/JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS, and VSAM in a mainframe environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field, equivalent work, education or military experience required

• 3+ years’ experience with SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Scripting and Oracle

• 3+ years’ experience with Relational Database and SDLC
