The Role
Support pharmacy consulting engagements that help clients solve complex pharmacy and healthcare challenges. In this role, the individual will be responsible will be expected to analyze pharmacy claims, build documentation and workflows, and leverage tools such as Excel to support project delivery.
Work You’ll Do
- Support the development of pharmacy operational workflows
- Leveraging and conducting data analysis to uncover insights and develop potential solutions for clients
- Identifying potential solutions to business challenges through research, interviews, internal collaboration with other AArete teams and data analysis
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives
- Conduct research on current events, changes in regulatory requirements and market trends impacting health plan reimbursement
- Contribute to the preparation of client ready deliverables with clear and actionable insight
- Exercise sound judgement and clear and direct communication in all aspects of your work
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of healthcare experience plus exposure to pharmacy benefits, PBMs, managed care, specialty pharmacy or health plan operations
- Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis
- Bachelor’s Degree or additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
- Strong preference for experience in the payer and healthcare industry, including candidates with provider backgrounds who have worked with payers (e.g., managed care contracting)
- Basic proficiency in SQL
- Pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist
- Prior consulting experience
- Based in Chicago, IL, and able to work from our Chicago office as needed
