Site Engineering Manager

Job Description

To provide site engineering leadership in order to ensure delivery of business plan through an effectively managed, resourced and engaged team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead site engineering team to support business objectives
• Provide clear communication and support to team within global engineering structure to create alignment to wider engineering vision and goals
• Develop a learning culture across high performing teams with an agile mindset
• Effectively manage site resources and workload to ensure maximized across site and pillars and resolve resourcing issues
• Operate as part of the site leadership structure to deliver business objectives
• Prepare, manage and report on site engineering plans, budgets and forecasts and KPIs
• Ensure customer focused to deliver business focused results
• Ensure adherence to high standards of quality, health and safety and risk management.
• Ensure projects and work managed in line with management and engineering systems and processes
• Develop and promote technical best practice and standards
• Drive an ongoing culture of global engineering excellence and continue to identify where continuous improvement can be applied at a global scale
• Work closely with other engineering locations to ensure global connections

Qualifications

• Degree level education or relevant experience, in an engineering or science discipline
• Proven success of site engineering leadership, including workload and resource management and multiple stakeholder management, ideally in a manufacturing and sales matrix environment
• Experience of budgetary control, target setting, business plans
• Clear and effective communication skills and able to build collaborate relationships at all levels
• A team player but also able to demonstrate a high level of initiative
• Exposure and understanding of project management processes and skills
