POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style guided by the objectives of the company, the VBA Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely client build in the claims system incorporating information from various departments. This person will also be responsible for all updates to the client master within the VBA system throughout the year. This position will ensure that they have the proper controls in place to confirm accurate programming.
The incumbent is expected to communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, subordinates, vendors, customers, and the public, and to be respectful and courteous in the conduct of this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential job functions include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
- Works with MIT to obtain all necessary information to build the new client shell.
- Works with other internal departments to obtain all necessary information to complete the building of the client
- Plan building
- Network services
- Pharmacy
- Billing
- Enrollment
- Troubleshoots issues when identified that impact the way a client functions within VBA
- Make updates to the client master throughout the year including but not limited to adding new plans, new divisions, new networks, new enrollment tiers, new effective dates of coverage, new coverage types,
- Contributes to the daily workflow with regular and punctual

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education: High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification(s) Required: HIAA, ICA and/or LOMA coursework or certification preferred. Can take courses toward
the certifications while on the job.
Minimum Experience: Experience with benefit administration systems and previous management experience
preferred.
Other Qualifications: ▪ Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
