About This Role
This role facilitates the S&OP process to assure proper communication and collaboration regarding significant current and/or potential supply performance challenges (schedule unfeasibility or non-compliance, material or capacity imbalances, excess inventory, forecast accuracy levels and adequate SKU mix) to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
Owns the overall demand management and S&OP process for Affiliates and IPM business unit across multiple regions and executes best practice Sales & Operations processes to continuously improve efficiencies and cross-functional synergies with the Company’s Organizational structures and market dynamics.
Drives the implementation and sustainability of the Biogen 'fit for purpose' S&OP process, advises solutions to increase forecast accuracy, service Levels, and reduction of working capital and write offs.
This role is in hybrid work model. Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.
What you will do
- Partners with small / mid-sized Affiliates and Distributors demand forecasters to provide demand planning guidance for the Biogen mature and new product introductions. Develops, validates and updates monthly 24-month rolling demand plans to incorporate internal and external market events, such as new product introductions (NPI), life cycle management (LCM), competitor information and tenders to improve KPI’s results (FCA & FCB), process efficiencies and system improvements.
- Develops and leads, in collaboration with regional and global cross functional stakeholders, process maturity and continuous improvements road map to deliver sustained business benefits for Commercial, Planning and Manufacturing units and the S&OP in general. Makes process and design decisions based on competing needs of stakeholders and optimizes the overall S&OP process and IT systems to align with market dynamics.
- Influences and actively secures buy-ins from functional leadership and influence the users with process best practices.
- Serves as a backup interface with IT (technical component), Master Data Management, Demantra user community and Power BI reporting capabilities.
- Leads monthly Originator Supply Reviews with each individual brand planner to ensure balance between demand and supply, projected inventory levels are achieved, targeted objectives and supply risks are identified and mitigated.
- Creates, reviews and monitors supply scenarios and resolve out of balance challenges, keeping the Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain permanently informed. Provides input to the Supply Planning organization in developing demand strategies on existing items, new products, scenario planning and product phase-outs.
- Maintains the PBI dashboards, pertaining to demand-supply planning process, up to date with the most relevant information for manufacturing purposes and planning decisions.
- Defines, prepares, and co-leads the cross functional, monthly, or quarterly portfolio S&OP Alignment meeting with senior management from Commercial, Finance, PO&T and Business Operations. Identifies challenges requiring escalation and defines actions to review and address, such as excess & obsolescence and low FCA / FCB performance in each market.
- Prepares and supports the business analytics for setting up annual FCA and FCB targets at brand level, in every Biogen direct market at her/his responsibility. Instigates, supports, and leads ad-hoc projects required by the business for, but not limited to, increasing FCA & FCB results, enhancement of cross-functional process efficiencies, reduction of inventory & working capital, write offs (EE&O) and SKU portfolio optimization, new IPM Partners setup.
- Leads the S&OP business review call with the Commercial Leads for each distributor. Ensures that alignment between Commercial leads and IPM Partner needs and expectations are balanced against Biogen inventory levels. Monitors and defines plans to overcome supply challenges, minimizing the impact to patient drug supplies.
Qualifications
Required skills
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning (from commercial to supply), ideally in Pharma or fast-moving consumer goods businesses.
- Good analytical skills processing large quantities of data and ability to summarize outcomes onto business actions.
- Excellent coordination skills.
- Great English skills, any additional language will be an asset.
