Sr. Front End Developer/Architect

Aperio Global is seeking a Sr. Front End Developer/Architect to join their upcoming Application Modernization program in Dulles, VA. This program addresses the assessment of end-of-life applications to sunset, upgrade, or develop new applications that meet current needs. This will require the utilization of best-in-class design and design experience to develop solutions for the Airports Authority.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated software solutions, translating complex UI/UX designs into performant, scalable, and reusable code.
• Drive the creation and implementation of new themes utilizing technologies such as React or Angular, and others, demonstrating an advanced understanding of these platforms.
• Collaborate with UX designers and developers ensuring technical feasibility, visual fidelity of designs, and promoting innovation.
• Oversee the Agile software development life cycle, managing the design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment stages, while ensuring adherence to quality and timeline commitments.
• Advocate for user-centered design by conducting ongoing user research and translating insights into product features.
• Foster effective communication within the team and with stakeholders, managing expectations, and promoting transparency.
• Lead the optimization of applications for speed, scalability, security, and user experience, implementing industry best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies, providing direction for the team’s continuous learning and development.

Domain: Cloud Application Development

Technology - HTML5, React.js or Angular (JavaScript), CSS3, jQuery, .NET, PHP, Node.js and MySQL, NoSQL DB, AWS/Azure

Process - DevOps, Agile, SDLC, Database Concepts, Cloud Concepts

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Application Development with overall 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
• Proficiency in front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), Typescript and jQuery.
• Extensive experience working with development tools such as Babel, web pack, npm, yarn, and others.
• In-depth experience with creating and customizing themes across various technologies such as Drupal, PHP, .NET, React.
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, and workflows such as redux and flux.
• Experienced in architecting and implementing RESTful APIs, web services, micro frontend, and other modern patterns.
• In depth knowledge and experience using source control tools like GIT and Bit Bucket.
• Proficiency with visual design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, and UI frameworks like Bootstrap, Material UI. Understanding of SEO principles, cross-browser compatibility issues, and familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to oversee a team of developers and designers, manage complex projects, and drive technological innovation.
• Solid understanding of performance testing frameworks including Mocha & Jest, and accessibility testing tools like aXe or Lighthouse.
• Extensive experience and understanding in developing and supporting AAA, AA, or section 508 compliant applications.
