About the role

Description

The Department of Oral Medicine at Penn Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in the Clinician Educator Track to serve as the Nurse Practitioner within the Personalized Care Suite (PCare). PCare is an innovative interdisciplinary program dedicated to improving access to comprehensive oral health care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, medically complex conditions, physical disabilities, behavioral health needs, and other vulnerable populations.

The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical care, educate predoctoral and postgraduate learners, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Penn Medicine, and contribute to scholarship and program development that advance integrated medical-dental care. This faculty member will play a central role in supporting Penn Dental Medicine's missions of clinical excellence, education, research, and community engagement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty from Penn Dental Medicine, the Perelman School of Medicine, Penn Nursing, and affiliated health systems to develop innovative models of patient-centered care.

Rank: Assistant Professor (Clinician Educator Track). Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).
  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses or eligibility for licensure.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Demonstrated experience caring for medically complex adult patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and improving access to care for underserved populations.
