Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers. 

 

Job Summary:

As the Project ES&H (Environmental, Safety and Health) Representative, you will be responsible for providing ES&H advice and facilitating, promoting, and coordinating activities related to ensuring the health and safety of all project employees is maintained. The successful candidate will champion ES&H on the project and continuously contribute to a positive safety culture – leading by example, coaching personnel, and providing timely advice and support as required for the project workforce.The successful candidate will be willing and able to work a reasonable amount of overtime and if required night shift, as needed to support safe project execution. The ES&H Advisor is a field-based role, providing support to management, supervision, craft professionals and subcontractors. This role requires high levels of engagement with field-based teams, accessing elevated work areas via multi-level stairs, permanent and temporary vertical ladders, scaffolding and aerial work platforms. #LI-VB1

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of Bechtel's ES&H program and ES&H Management System to include aiding compliance with Bechtel's ES&H standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments 
• Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities 
• Maintains ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions 
• Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement 
• Identifies and supports any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel 
• Leads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES
