Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as the Senior Director of Global Tax. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to lead our Global Tax organization, including the Global Tax Operations and Reporting team, with a direct reporting line to the Vice President of Tax.

The Senior Director will be a co-leader of the entire Global Tax organization. This person will develop an understanding how all functions with the tax organization contribute to the business and develop a strong pipeline of talented tax professionals.  

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the leadership of the entire Global Tax organization, learn, and understand how all functions within the Tax department contribute to the business.
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and input on various organizational matters.
  • Cultivate a culture and environment that promotes the growth and well-being of our team members.
  • Mentor and develop team members to maintain and enhance team performance.
  • Direct, develop and implement comprehensive global tax strategies, policies and procedures that align and support the company’s business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across global finance and business units.
  • Develop and implement a transformation strategy for Global Tax as part of the Global Finance modernization effort.
  • Collaborate on planning, global controversy, transfer pricing strategies, and action plans.
  • Collaborate on tax considerations for new initiatives, including engagement with franchisees.
  • Provide mentorship on potential tax implications and overall strategic considerations.
  • Lead and supervise the worldwide tax provision and related SEC disclosures, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to maintain appropriate internal controls.
  • Lead global direct and indirect income tax return compliance.
  • Supervise compliance teams, including third-party vendors for co-sourced services.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Lead the budget for outside advisors and ensure timely and cost-effective services.

The expected salary range for this role is $$222,650- $289,440 per year
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a tax-related field. A master's in tax, LLM, or a comparable advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of diverse tax experience in a fast-paced environment, including at least 5 years at a Big 4 accounting firm and a minimum of 3 years of in-house/corporate experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to be hands-on, resourceful, detail-oriented, and results-oriented.
  • Proven experience in leading, managing, developing, and motivating a high-performance, diverse team across global regions.
  • Strong ability to manage high-pressure situations and make critical decisions amidst shifting priorities, with a holistic view of tax legislation, reporting, planning, and audits' impact on our business.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills to convey complex matters with simplicity and clarity to non-experts across the organization.
