Position Specific Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Capital Markets Team. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the asset-backed securities (ABS) market and will play a crucial role in executing structured finance transactions, optimizing funding costs, and managing associated risk. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to our mission of decarbonizing homes in the US.
Key responsibilities:
- Execution of Structured Finance Transactions: Assist in the execution of ABS transactions, including bond offerings, securitizations, and debt placements, ensuring all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of ABS market dynamics, including trends, investor preferences, regulatory frameworks, and transaction structuring techniques.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct rigorous due diligence, risk assessments, stress testing, and scenario analysis to identify and mitigate risks associated with structured finance transactions.
- Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, tax, accounting, and treasury teams, to coordinate deal execution and ensure alignment with organizational goals and guidelines.
- Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry developments, monitor market trends, analyze competitor activities, and identify potential opportunities in the structured finance and ABS markets.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess cash flow projections, operational risks, and returns on investment for structured finance transactions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations, rating agency guidelines, and industry standards, throughout the structuring and execution of ABS transactions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive transaction-related reports, presentations, and documentation to facilitate effective communication with key stakeholders, senior management, and external partners.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A proven track record in finance, specifically in structured finance and capital markets.
- Strong knowledge of ABS market dynamics, securitization structures, legal and regulatory frameworks, and investor preferences.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Ability to stay abreast of the evolving landscape of finance and renewable energy markets and leverage this knowledge for strategic decision making.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced MS Excel skills. Knowledge of other financial software and programming languages (such as VBA, Python, R) is a plus.
