About the role

The Senior HR Partner plays a critical role in managing complex HR issues, leading strategic HR initiatives, and providing high-level HR guidance. This role requires advanced expertise in HR policies, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and collaboration with business leaders to drive organizational success. May supervise and mentor junior HR staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development. This includes overseeing their work, offering feedback, and ensuring they understand and adhere to HR policies and best practices

HR Guidance: 

  • Interpret and execute complex HR policies including compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, and workforce administration. 
  • Serve as the senior liaison for communicating and implementing significant HR policy changes and updates. 

Employee Relations Support: 

  • Oversee the resolution of complex employee relations issues, providing expert guidance and conducting thorough, objective investigations. 
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks. 
  • Work closely with management and employees to enhance working relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention. 

Strategic Consultation: 

  • Participate in client department meetings to understand service expectations and anticipate future HR needs. 
  • Collaborate with management on business strategy and HR issues by analyzing the organization and providing recommendations on restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning. 
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics with HRIS to develop and implement solutions, programs, and policies. Identify and address training needs for business units and provide guidance on executive coaching requirements. 

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration: 

  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings with business units to understand their needs and provide strategic HR support. 

Documentation and Compliance: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel and employment files. 
  • Document all HR transactions and interactions thoroughly. 

Project Leadership: 

  • Lead or oversee special projects that advance the goals of the Office of Human Resources and contribute to organizational objectives. 

Transaction Oversight: 

  • Manage and supervise HR transactions in collaboration with junior HR staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational policies. 
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with HR policies and procedures. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Identify recurring issues and escalate them to senior HR leaders as needed. 
  • Respond to complex inquiries and proactively manage communication regarding process status, delays, or issues. 
  • Respond to inquiries regarding process status and notify clients of any delays or issues. Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR function and drive organizational success.

HR Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, with the ability to guide and advise on complex HR matters. 

Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and other relevant software, with the ability to leverage technology for strategic HR initiatives. Data Analysis & Reporting: Expertise in data analysis and the ability to use insights to inform decision-making and drive HR strategies. 

Strategic Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex issues and implement effective solutions. 

Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to influence stakeholders and convey strategic HR initiatives. 

Confidentiality & Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. 

Time & Priority Management: Expertise in managing multiple competing priorities and driving results within tight timelines. 

Process Optimization: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and organizational effectiveness. 

Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Skilled in building and maintaining strategic relationships within HR, across departments, and with external partners. 

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Experience in managing complex employee relations issues and providing effective conflict resolution strategies. 

Leadership in Performance Management: Ability to consult with leaders on performance management, including developing and implementing PIPs and L&D strategies.
