Shape the future of payments in OneApp.</p><p></p><p><b>Money Transfers | App | Global | Scale | Payments</b></p><p>At the heart of ING’s <b>Global Digital &amp; Assisted Channels tribe</b>, we build scalable solutions and roll out features across all OneApp countries. Within this tribe, the <b>Payments &amp; Trust product</b> consists of 8 squads – 6 focused on payments and 2 on trust. We are currently looking for a <b>tech-savvy Product Manager</b> to strengthen two of our payments squads: <b>Forward Thinking</b> and <b>Backend Thinking</b>.</p><p>These squads are currently responsible for the <b>money transfer flow</b> in the ING app – a critical, high-volume, 24/7 service that must be secure, stable, and seamless. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of mobile payments, working in a dynamic, complex, and global environment.</p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p>As a Product Manager, you’ll be the bridge between business and tech. You’ll work closely with developers, UX designers, and the product owner to explore, define, and deliver features that matter. You’ll act as a <b>flexible force</b> across two squads – stepping in where needed, whether it’s frontend or backend, ensuring continuity and clarity throughout the delivery process.</p><p>You’ll join:</p><ul><li><b>Forward Thinking</b>: A native frontend squad (2 Android, 2 iOS developers, and 1 Product Manager/PO) responsible for the money transfer module in NL and BE, orders, and the address book.</li><li><b>Backend Thinking</b>: A backend squad (5 backend developers, 1 OPS, and 1 Product Manager/PO) responsible for APIs and facades that power the money transfer experience.</li></ul><p>A major migration is underway, and your ability to understand both the functional and technical sides of the product will be crucial. Also your flexibility is needed to evolving team roles and responsibilities post migration.</p><p><b>What You’ll Do</b></p><p>As a Product Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery process – from discovery to testing and release. Your responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Deeply explore features – what they do, how they work, and why they matter.</li><li>Translate complexity into clear, structured user stories and requirements.</li><li>Collaborate closely with developers during refinement and development.</li><li>Own the testing process – define test scenarios, validate features in the app, and ensure quality before release.</li><li>Contribute to UX, monitoring, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Act as a content expert and go-to person for your squads.</li><li>Adapt flexibly to evolving team roles and responsibilities post-migration.</li></ul><p><b>What We’re Looking For</b></p><p>We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You bring:</p><ul><li>5+ years of relevant experience as a CJE, feature engineer, or product manager with a strong IT profile.</li><li>Proven experience in mobile app development environments.</li><li>Experience in the Payments domain (Instant Payments, SEPA, etc.) is a strong plus.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Technically fluent – you’re not a developer, but you speak their language.</li><li>Comfortable working across frontend and backend contexts.</li><li>Resilient and stress-resistant – you thrive in high-impact, always-on environments.</li><li>Flexible and adaptable – especially during times of change.</li><li>A team player who communicates clearly and proactively.</li></ul><p><b>Why Join Us?</b></p><p>Join a team where your work truly matters.
