Working student (m/f/d) Finance Excellence

As part of the Finance Excellence team at Hapag-Lloyd, working students support ongoing initiatives to strengthen, standardize, and further develop global finance processes and products. The role provides hands-on exposure to finance digitalization, process improvement and governance topics, combining process understanding, data analysis, and technology enabled improvements within Finance.

• Support the Finance Process Excellence team at Hapag-Lloyd in the analysis, documentation, and improvement of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report processes
• Assist in preparing and analyzing finance and process insights from SAP, FIS, Celonis and Qliksense to identify efficiency, transparency, and automation opportunities
• Support process mining and data-driven analyses, including basic dashboard preparations and interpretation
• Contribute to the documentation of finance processes, standards, and controls in a structured and consistent manner
• Support finance digitalization initiatives, including process standardization, automation, and system enhancements
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analyses for Finance stakeholders
• Collaborate with BA, IT, DIA, and Regional teams for Finance Excellence

• Currently enrolled as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Informatics, Data Analytics, or a comparable field 
• Strong interest in finance, technology, and data-driven work
• Knowledge of Excel or analytics tools is an advantage
• Analytical mindset with a structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
• Good communication skills in English; German is an advantage
• High motivation to learn, and develop in a professional Finance environment
• Team-oriented attitude and curiosity for finance topics
