Senior Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a talented engineer who will put our customers at the center of everything we do. This senior software engineer will join the Home Lending Origination Technology group and support the document generation and delivery process. This position provides an opportunity to work in depth of mortgage processing and exciting mix of technologies including opportunity to create solutions using GenAI/DocsAI.

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• 4 years of Java development experience

• 3+ years of Java unit test case development experience

• 3+ years of Spring boot based application development experience

• 2+ years of cloud native application development experience (one of TAS - Tanzu Application Service, Azure, GCP, AWS)

• 1+ years of experience on Agile Development methodologies

• 1+ years Developing Automated functional testing using the BDD techniques

Desired Qualifications:

• Angular or related UI Framework experience

• Tomcat application server experience

• Oracle and MongoDB or related NoSQL database experience

• Kafka or related Data Streaming technology experience

• Cloud native Microservices development experience based on Event Driven Architecture experience

• Domain Driven Design principles

• App non-functional requirements including Monitoring (APM tools), Logging (Splunk), Distributed tracing

• Experience with Monolith to Microservices decomposing experience
