Head of Finance

 Role Summary 

Steadfast Health is seeking a dynamic, metrics-driven Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy, reporting, and operations as we scale best-in-class addiction treatment clinics. This leader will oversee FP&A, revenue cycle, and accounting, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution. They will partner closely with the CEO, executive team, and Board to build the reporting and insights necessary to scale brick-and-mortar operations while ensuring mission alignment, financial rigor, and operational excellence. 

The ideal candidate has a strong FP&A foundation and proven success in multi-site or brick-and-mortar healthcare environments. They bring a sharp analytical toolkit to drive resource allocation, performance measurement, and growth. As a true player/coach, they are equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to refine models and frameworks as they are building and mentoring a high-performing finance team. 

Key Responsibilities 

Financial Leadership & Strategy 

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive team, Board, and investors. 
• Lead long-range planning, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to guide growth. 
• Drive annual budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with company priorities. 

Financial Reporting & Analytics 

• Define and oversee the financial reporting frameworks and dashboards needed for scale (technical team builds; this leader sets the standards). 
• Partner with Operations and Clinical leaders on metrics, OKRs, and performance reviews. 
• Deliver clear, actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability. 
• Assess the financial viability and ROI of new services, programs, and site expansions. 

Brick-and-Mortar Scale 

• Bring proven experience navigating the complexities of high-volume, multi-site healthcare or services operations. 
• Apply strong financial acumen to optimize site-level performance, cost structures, and scalability.  
• Develop site level analytics to assess growth markets and de novo clinic unit economics.  

Revenue Cycle, Accounting & Treasury Oversight  

• Oversee revenue cycle management, billing, and collections. Ensure accurate, timely financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance. 
• Partner with external accounting/tax resources and manage treasury functions. 

Team Leadership & Talent Development 

• Build, mentor, and scale a finance team that combines healthcare financial expertise with analytical rigor. 
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, accountability, and collaboration across clinical and operational teams. 

Qualifications 

Required 

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or master's degree preferred). 
• 7-10+ years in finance leadership roles, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, or other multi-site brick-and-mortar environments. 
• Deep FP&A experience with proven ability to design and manage reporting frameworks, dashboards, and key financial metrics. 
• Strong grasp of healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle dynamics. 
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. Comfortable interpreting data, spotting trends, and framing insights.
