The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Sr. Software Engineers for Chicago, IL location. Independently develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes and data workflows for ingestion, transformation, analysis and standardization to ensure data quality and efficient and effective data access. Develop and implement scalable and efficient data processing workflows. Configure and optimize distributed data processing frameworks and storage solutions ensuring high availability and scalability. Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based big data solutions. Communicate and work with data science team to identify and extract relevant data from large, complex data sets of various types. Design and implement data security and privacy protocols to ensure the integrity and privacy of customers’ data. Establish data governance and analytics application support standards, creating and maintaining operational runbook documentation. Participate in application and platform releases, ensure seamless integration and performance in production and pre-production environments. Conduct disaster recovery tests and maintain documented recovery procedures for big data applications. Ensure compliance with SLAs and SOC audit requirements, focusing on data security and integrity. Remain up-to-date with the latest big data technologies and tools, and evaluate their potential impact on data systems. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in application software, collaborating closely with development teams.
