Job Summary

The AI and Developer Sr. Strategist, Architecture & Design role will help drive our strategy for AI services as well as our Extensibility strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring that AEC market (customer) requirements are met by collaborating with the Product and Go-to-Market teams.

The successful candidate will report to the New Business Development Director and establish him/herself as a trusted strategist of the Architecture & Design team. You will develop extensive cross-functional relationships within the division, partnering Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Support to develop new business opportunities tied to AI services and Developer APIs. Candidates must bring a strategic technologist’s vision combined with architecture / planning / design-industry experience. You will partner across the business to identify new and innovative AEC workflows and opportunities that drive greater productivity for our customers. This position will provide for a degree of autonomy in addition to the highly collaborative aspect required.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for significantly contributing to the division’s new business strategy with respect to AI and Developer services in conjunction with stakeholders across Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales and Engineering

• Conduct comprehensive research both internally and externally regarding planned and new AI services as well as developing a full picture of the competitive landscape which we may move into if we act on them

• Develop best practices related to developing and launching AI/ML solutions

• Work collaboratively with Product, Customer Success and Sales to ensure the solutions we launch will have product market fit for our customers

• Partnering with various commercialization and operations teams to make sure Developers and Trimble can successfully leverage Trimble APIs and systems to accomplish business goals

• Be a critical member of the strategy team that helps us meet or exceed short-term and long-term revenue targets

• Must bring a humble yet ambitious mindset

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• 10+ years of work experience in the AEC industry. Significant exposure to developer programs / APIs, AI research, cloud technology and project management work a plus

• BS/BA required; MBA a plus, but not required

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Stellar collaboration and problem solving skills

• Strong AEC workflow and ‘jobs to be done’ knowledge

• Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency

• Must be highly analytical, with experience in market and operational data analysis

• Ability to translate the results of any analytical investigation into easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations

• Commitment to the achievement of the company’s vision and demonstration of organizational values

• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work cross-functionally successfully

• Knowledge and experience creating and managing to financial and business goals, objectives and metrics

• Ability to travel as required
