Job Summary:
Provides support in all aspects of the design, mapping, development, and testing of the data warehouse environment, with emphasis on the database modeling and the creation of appropriate database structures, including development and maintenance techniques surrounding data movement to exploit technologies such as Oracle and Informatica. Designs, builds and tests deliverables for complex ETL process and interfaces spanning multiple applications. Assists in data acquisition and transformation delivery and may provide oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and quality of Business Intelligence solutions.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems, applied mathematics or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Three years' experience as an applications developer or data architect within a business intelligence or analytics environment: Preferred
- SQL and database management experience within common DBMS platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.: Preferred
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), knowledge of ETL fundamentals and experience with ETL tools and experience with data quality tools and data quality approaches and techniques: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Accesses organizations, processes, channels, applications and data to identify practical solutions. Designs data architectures and designs and builds relational databases. Utilizes current strategy in the design of new data models and solutions.
- Implements strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and new database builds.
- Creates standard methodologies for maintaining current and future database systems.
- Maintains and creates enterprise logical and physical data modeling across source, target and external systems. Develops and maintains technical and data model documentation.
- Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
