About the role

<p>An IT Support Engineer in a day-shift-system provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues both remotely and on-site. They diagnose problems, implement solutions, and maintain systems to ensure smooth IT operations. Responsibilities include managing user accounts, and providing end-user support to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.&nbsp;</p><p>We’re seeking passionate colleagues who are eager to push the boundaries in digital transformation and technology consulting. If you thrive on challenge and meet (most of) the qualifications below, we look forward to your application!&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Training in IT support (associate degree, Syntra, VDAB…) or proven experience in a similar role.</li><li>You have a first&nbsp;experience in providing first-line&nbsp;IT support or you just finished an IT course/education.&nbsp;</li><li>You have basic&nbsp;knowledge of:&nbsp;<ul><li>Hardware: Understanding of basic hardware components, such as desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repairs is valuable.&nbsp;</li><li>Operating Systems: Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS). Knowledge of basic commands, user management, file systems, and updates.&nbsp;</li><li>Software: Understanding of common software applications, such as Microsoft Office, O365, email clients, Intune, and basic troubleshooting of common software issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Networking: Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, LAN).&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users in a clear and friendly manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic experience with service desk- and remote tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira).&nbsp;</li><li>Certifications (optional but beneficial): CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)&nbsp;</li><li>Working hours: dayshifts &amp; weekends</li><li>English, Dutch and French are required&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What to expect from working at Sopra Steria</strong></p><p>Can you picture it already?
