Vice President, Corporate Affairs

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Vice President to join our Corporate Practice to support a broad range of client needs. In this role, you will be working on programs involving reputation management, executive leadership, internal communications, crisis communications, and national business media relations. You must think and do. We are looking for masters of the craft, who are excellent people leaders, client counselors and will roll up their sleeves and stay close to the work.  You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, resourceful and tenacious, with deep knowledge of traditional strategies, understanding of emerging media and a passion for driving great results while building strong, productive relationships with your clients and your team.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create strategic executive visibility and thought leadership programs to elevate clients’ reputation and brands with key stakeholders. 
• Develop media relations strategy and conduct outreach for programs/projects.  
• Identify new growth opportunities based on insights into the company, client, industry and economy.  
• Lead the client service function for program planning, problem solving and strategic counsel. 
• Maintain financial responsibility for accounts including forecasting and account profitability. 
• Provide strategic counsel and guidance to clients, as well as to colleagues in the Zeno network, to ensure success. 
• Secure, maintain and grow the business. 
• Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition, and general issues facing the industry. 
• Understand key competitors and their business strategies. 
• Work across geographies and help shape direction and focus of practice. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree. 
• 8-10 years of experience in Corporate PR, previous agency experience working with tech clients preferred. 
• A history of success in providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior level client contacts.  
• Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines. 
• Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, creatively, and holistically about client programs.  
• Excellent writing skills, solid presentation skills, experience developing and delivering client presentations, including new business. 
• Must have a strong background in corporate communications and solid corporate media relations contacts. 
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of reputation management and a working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media.  A current track record of success in building relationships with national business media and driving results for clients. 
• Familiarity with leveraging AI to more efficiently deliver high-quality client work.  
• Proven leadership experience, mentoring and developing junior talent.
