Title:                      Junior Varsity Softball Coach 

Job Location:     Paw Paw High School  

Reports To:         Athletic Director  

Job Type:            2026/2027 Season Contract  

 

Qualifications:   

  • Must possess a High School diploma
  • Extensive experience playing softball
  • CAP 1 or CAP 2 Certification (prior to season)
  • First Aid/CPR Certified (prior to season)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work within a coordinated softball curriculum from youth to varsity level
  • Strong personal and social skills with the ability to effectively communicate with High School students
  • Experience organizing/running practices (Preferred)   
  • Possesses knowledge of the MHSAA softball rules and regulations (Preferred)   
  • Willingness to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and students (Preferred)   
  • Possesses the ability to motivate players and coaches to work toward program philosophies and goals (Preferred)    

     

Job Description:    

  • Coordinate practice plans to build basic softball knowledge and age-appropriate skill sets
  • Work within a program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 9-12
  • Be a productive and cohesive coach that works to develop all players from grades 9-12
  • Coordinate with youth softball programs and coaches to optimize youth opportunities
  • Teach and instruct the game of softball, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes  

 

Salary/Benefits:  Per VBCEA/PPEA, MEA-NEA contract Schedule C
