We are actively seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance and Risk Management Engineer to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support the strategic goals of the Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead data research and analysis while conducting threat, vulnerability, risk and maturity assessments
  • Apply critical thinking, develop plans for the improvement of risk management-related programs
  • Execute Cybersecurity Controls Validation Test events
  • Assess cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities of hardware and software
  • Contribute to constant innovation and improvement

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in Cybersecurity field & extensive Risk Management Framework, JSIG and Cybersecurity Risk Assessment experience
  • Must possess at least one of the following certifications:
    • CASP+ CE
    • CCNP Security
    • CISA
    • CISSP (or Associate)
    • GCED
    • GCIH
    • CCSP
    • CISSP-ISSAP
    • CISSP-ISSEP
    • CCSP
  • US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret (TS)/SCI clearance
  • Ability to indoctrinate into Special Access Programs
  • Capability to independently execute cybersecurity events
  • Capability to independently execute cybersecurity risk assessments
  • Must be able to working onsite in Huntsville, AL

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with testing methods, automated tools, plans, and procedures for verification of compliance and vulnerability requirements.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, including but not limited to Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Host Based Security System (HBSS) and DISA SCAP/STIGs
  • Experience with modern networks, operating systems, databases, and virtual computing
  • Ability to develop and interpret security architectures, data flow diagrams, engineering electrical/pinout drawings, and publications that depict the system(s) architecture
  • Ability to be able to identify risk areas of non-compliance and propose solutions to design to fulfill operational requirements and meet cybersecurity requirements simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and organizations, including senior level management
  • Proven ability to multi-task and deliver on-time with the highest quality
