Cyber Software Engineering, Lead Associate

Responsibilities

This position is an integral member of the Peraton Labs Network Systems and Cyber Mission Sector team supporting a customer site in College Park, Maryland.  Candidates will work with teams to research, conceive, and develop prototypes as well as operational software. The candidates should be adept at identifying successful approaches to complex problems. Projects will involve a mix of research and development and will range from applied research to advanced prototyping to development, verification, and certification of operational software. This position will be full-time at a customer facility. The ideal candidate will be one who is able to collaborate as part of a dynamic customer, Peraton Labs, and subcontractor team as well as execute work independently.

 

This position requires full time on-site work in College Park, Maryland.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, ECE, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• 6 years of software development experience
• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Java
• Experience with XML/JSON generation
• Strong systems skills (Linux, Windows, Shell Scripting, VM Technologies)
• Experience in reading, implementing, and troubleshooting source code
• Debugging experience under Windows and Linux
• Experience generating and reviewing software documentation
• Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge of new technologies
• Experience with design, development, test, verification, and certification of operational software is highly desired
• Experience with both C++ and Java
• Experience working with GitLab

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
