THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Customer Marketing Associate, Promotions to drive our promotional strategy and customer retention. You will play a key role on the Customer Marketing team, with influence over promotional strategy & competitive analysis, while collaborating with multiple departments within the company including but not limited to Commercial, Brand, Operations, Product, and Customer Service. This is an exciting opportunity to help elevate revenue-driving marketing initiatives at a premier gaming company.

 

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Support the development of the Sportsbook promotional strategy, including the promotional calendar and seasonal playbooks for all major sporting seasons and events
  • Support the forecasting process for all sportsbook promotions, as well as monitoring promo performance and cost reporting to measure success
  • Contribute to the promotional mechanical ideation and innovation to help provide a first-class user journey and experience
  • Conduct competitor tracking and analysis to gain a deeper understanding of promotional capabilities across the market landscape
  • Facilitate the post-mortem promotion analysis for major sporting moments, offering insights into future promotional efforts
  • Partner with experimentation team to track business impacts, extract key insights, and implement findings to enhance our promotional efforts
  • Support the customer marketing team in day-to-day operational needs, becoming an expert in the implementation and end-to-end execution for all promotions
  • Cultivate extensive knowledge of our marketing technology stack, promotional engine, and internal data structure
  • Liaise with core delivery stakeholders (Ops, Creative, Legal, Trading) including defining promotional objectives and needs, providing feedback, and tracking delivery
  • Clearly communicate key learnings, actionable insights, and recommend new opportunities to Customer Marketing leadership

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the gaming, sports, or entertainment industry.
  • Proficiency manipulating data and performing calculations in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF statements, etc.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills; using data to tackle problems and translate results into recommendations
  • Strong understanding of promotions, loyalty programs, and customer retention strategies.
  • Has a positive attitude and loves opportunities to collaborate with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • An avid sports and gaming fan, and have played FanDuel or competitive products
  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus
