Customer Logistics Representative

Pinnacle Polymers, LLC, a privately-owned polypropylene manufacturing facility in Garyville, Louisiana, has an opening for a Customer Logistics Representative. The Customer Logistics Representative / Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing full-cycle ordering support to customers and fostering customer loyalty.

 

Main responsibilities and key tasks

 

• Receive and facilitate customer ordering process including:  receiving and entering orders, tracking production status, and monitoring reports for potential schedule changes
• Monitor product shipping process and ensuring purchase orders align with product shipment data prior to transit
• Communicate regularly with customers while assisting with the ordering and shipment processes. Proactively communicate production or railcar shipment schedule changes while maintaing a professional rapport.
• Collaborate internally with various departments regarding railcar switch list, laboratory quality results, production scheduling, transportation changes, and other related functions
• Collect and provide to customer all necessary shipment documentation including: order invoice, COA, CCI, and USMCA certificates
• Utilize Geometrix software to track railcar transits and communicate shipment updates to customers 
• Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to: document scanning, and answering company phone line during regular business hours
• Generation of supply chain-related reports 
• Other duties as assigned
   

Competencies and skills

 

• 2-3 years of supply chain logistics experience, preferably with railcar and bulk truck shipments
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business; Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Functional experience working in SAP
• Advanced knowledge of office practices and procedures
• Must have strong working knowledge of personal computers utilizing Microsoft Office applications 
• Organizational and prioritization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, effective problem-solving skills, and good communication skills with both internal and external customers
• The ability to work in a group environment as well as independently. Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, oral and written communication skills required.
• Must be willing and able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
• Ability to work in the U.S. and successful completion of a pre-employment background check and screening
