Custodian Maintenance

Full Time II (30 - 39 hours/week)

$17.00/hour

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for maintaining Family & Community Services buildings in a clean and orderly fashion. Communicates effectively and quickly with the supervisor/manager to resolve maintenance issues.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Cleans buildings as assigned.

2. Performs small maintenance repairs and needed.

3. Meets with contractors at buildings as needed.

4. Reports any unusual activity to director immediately.

5. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience in like position preferred.

2. List the qualifications required for the position including experience and characteristics.

3. Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if applicable.

4. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation and FBI).

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience in custodial/small repairs preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; talk; and hear. Occasionally required to sit. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
