Custodian

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This position is accountable for cleaning the building and the machinery in production areas. The custodian sweeps and scrubs floors, vacuums carpets, shampoos rugs and dusts furniture and equipment. Job duties include collecting and removing garbage, cleaning and restocking bathrooms and washing windows. If there is an unexpected mess, such as a large spill, the custodian is called to clean it up. The purpose of the custodial staff is to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and the public.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-3p (Days) or Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am (Nights)

Pay Range: $18-$19/hr

JOB FUNCTIONS | Support + Problem-Solve + Collaborate

• Clean equipment in production area
• Keep building clean and sanitized with public areas being a priority
• Remove trash
• Exposure to a variety of cleaning chemicals
• Exposure to unpleasant elements at times
• Assist with snow removal as requested
• Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• Other duties as assigned

Skills (qualifications) | Servant Leadership + Effective Communication + Rally the TEAM

• High school education desirable, but not required
• Pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 lbs. when needed
• Must be self-sufficient and able to work independently
• Must be flexible and able to multi-task
• Must be reliable and responsible
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours a day
• Previous custodial experience preferred, but not required
