Nature of Work:

The Student Editor is a position with the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law.  Duties include cite checking all manuscripts for compliance with the McGill guide, managing day-to-day communications with authors and potential authors, working closely with English and French language editors of the journal, and helping to hire, train and manage duties of junior editors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have completed at least 1 year of JD program with good marks.  Must be proficient in citation style of McGill Guide in English and French. Must have excellent writing and organizational skills.
 Candidates for this position must also meet the eligibility requirements for the Work-Study program:
• Demonstrate financial need by completing the University of Ottawa’s financial questionnaire through the Work-Study Navigator
• Maintain satisfactory academic standing
• Pay your tuition fees to the University of Ottawa
