We are seeking a CTY Assistant Program Manager who will be responsibility for supporting integrated programs with program coordination, instructor supervision, and curriculum support. When supervising instructional staff, this role will ensure the ensure the quality of instruction and support instructors in addressing student performance. As a program administrator, this role will support various programs in logistics coordination and implementation. As part of CTY staff, curriculum writing, revision, and editing support will also be required. In addition to promoting appreciation and understanding of CTY’s philosophy, policies, and procedures the position fosters communication between program staff and partners and the administrative staff.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • A member of the integrated programs administrative staff, this role assumes primary responsibility for supervising, supporting, and providing guidance to the instructional staff who come from a variety of educational backgrounds and have diverse teaching skills. 
  • Train, onboard, and supervise instructors for integrated programs, mainly in MAPS and Baltimore Emerging Scholars.
  • Work with program leadership to coordinate course supplies, curriculum delivery, site management.
  • Provide logistical support for classroom instruction, class projects, assessments, and other presentations.
  • Work with program managers and instructors to troubleshoot instructor issues and classroom/course management.
  • Conduct formal and informal classroom observations and provides feedback and coaching on teaching strategies and classroom management.
  • Follow up with instructors on student evaluations and grading.
  • Stay current on content of courses with programs and work with CTY curriculum team to support curriculum review, updates, revisions, and improvements for CTY programs.
  • Collaborate regularly with the CTY Director of Curriculum to plan and implement professional learning opportunities for teaching staff.
  • Meet regularly with the CTY Director of Integrated Programs and CTY Director of Curriculum to review program implementation.
  • Support the program leadership on end of year celebrations and other family engagement.
  • Support program managers in program communication with families, students, and schools.
  • Support program initiatives for constant improvement including but not limited to, additional resources, staff optimization, streamlining workflows.
  • Attend internal and external team meetings, professional development sessions, and other meetings as assigned.

  • Communicate promptly, clearly, and sensitively with program administrators, staff, students, parents/guardians, and host schools.
  • Model professionalism.
  • Represent the philosophy and policies of CTY in a manner that fosters cooperation and respect among all program staff, students, host schools throughout the program.
