BASIC FUNCTION:
The CRIT Special Projects Associate is a temporary position to assist with short-term seasonal projects, along with ongoing area operations. It will help support the transition of IT service management platforms, administration of related knowledge base resources, facilitating summer inventory initiatives, and management of student worker training and operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with the Director of Digital Output Technologies and Assistant Director of Technology Resources to play a key role supporting the IT service management (ITSM) platform transition from Salesforce to Freshservice.
2. Administer the related knowledge base resources by updating legacy knowledge base articles and Canvas training courses, along with creating new entries for Freshservice and CRIT/AIC Network Services policy and procedures.
3. Assist the Director of Digital Output Technologies to support daily operations of SAIC's printer fleet, including inventory management of related consumables and distribution of copy paper and other supplies as needed.
4. Serve as primary liaison to both Print Services and Computer Resources for campus-wide summer inventory projects involving copiers/printers and computers/peripherals.
5. Oversee student worker training and ongoing performance. Communicate job expectations and policies and ensure ability to perform effectively. Serve as liaison to the Director of Digital Output Technologies and Assistant Director of Technology Resources for employee complaints and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three years’ experience in ITSM platform administration with emphasis on inventory and workflow management required
- Minimum two years’ experience organizing technical information and workflows into user-friendly instructional materials required
- Proficiency with cloud-based IT asset management platform, macOS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office required
- Experience managing student employees preferred
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
