Job Summary:

Delivers courier and interdepartmental mail. Assists in stock clerk duties, providing distribution and inventory management services to the organization. Delivers and receives both clean and soiled items. Coordinates, implements, and leads the patient transportation strategy daily ensuring the safe operations of the patient transportation system.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Picks up and delivers required items, maintains logs of all calls, and conducts vehicle safety inspection and maintenance.
  • Provides general support to the clinical laboratory such as dropping off and picking up incoming and outgoing laboratory specimen or biohazardous substances.
  • Maintains and adheres to department and position quality and productivity standards. Ensures safe handling of materials and general public when operating transportation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
