Cost Planning Analyst

TITLE: Cost Planning Analyst
DUTIES: Responsible for tracking, reporting, coordinating development of strategy to ensure that products launch at target profit level and current business portfolio achieves/maintains acceptable financial performance. Coordinate cross functional team efforts to ultimately develop quotes for new business inquiries from customers. Cost planning tracking for new programs, monitoring profitability, setting cost targets. Lead activity and reporting on open issues, follow-up activities and countermeasure tracking for cost plans (support QG milestone meetings as well as JNA Management meetings).Support cost reduction activities on current production programs in effort to maximize margin. Support make vs. buy analysis as required for outsourcing vs. in-house production. Hybrid work permitted 2 days per week within a reasonable commuting distance of Vonore, Tennessee.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Business Administration and Management, or related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Sales, New Projects and Purchasing Coordinator, Sales and New Projects Supervisor, Sales and New Projects, or related role where experience was gained. Also requires experience in the following:

• Financial cost reporting and analysis;
• Data manipulation, storyboard development, and complex modeling using Excel;
• Oracle ERP system, and applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental systems within manufacturing;
• Smarteam application and engineering drawings interpretation and evaluation; and
• Make or buys, analyses cost benefit analyses, bill of materials, cost estimating.
