Corporate Tax Technician

 

Corporate Tax Technician will work closely with other members of the Corporate Tax Department (including Corporate Tax Managers and the VP of Tax) to execute various federal, state and international tax planning and compliance functions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare tax informational filings
  • Forms W-9, W-8BEN-E
  • U.S. Residency Certificate (Form 8802)
  • FINCEN reporting
• Support tax compliance, tax provision and transfer pricing processes
  • Gather data (i.e. trial balance detail, apportionment) for external advisors to prepare various U.S. federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns
  • Prepare tax packages and other information questionnaires submitted to business controllers at various times during the year, track submission
  • Coordinate and gather information requested for Form 990 returns and select Canadian federal returns prepared by external tax advisors
  • Assist with data gathering for property tax and/or sales & use tax returns
  • Assist with tax account reconciliations
  • Prepare intercompany invoices for royalties and transfer pricing adjustments, as necessary
• Support and participate in implementation of a tax data strategy
  • Organize and maintain tax documents and records
  • Manage incoming tax department mail
  • Manage on-line documentation and filing
• Support internal tax function
  • Assist with tax cost center reconciliations, including budget to actual and forecast updates
  • Assist with processing external vendor invoices and tracking spend to budget
  • Provide support for external audit needs (audit pbc trackers, compliance pbc trackers etc.)
• Assist with federal, state and international tax planning projects

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exemplary organization skills needed with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Experience managing administrative processes is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate with all functional organizations and all levels of personnel
• Team player that is willing to help wherever needed
• Ability to work above and below current level when required

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of administrative support within a corporate tax department
• Accounting experience a plus
• Manufacturing experience a plus
• Experience with SAP operating systems a plus
• US federal income tax and/or state and local tax background a plus

EDUCATION:

• Some college required (depending on level of experience supporting a corporate tax department)

 

Pay Range:   $53,235.00 - $66,570.00
