Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead the Bechtel Geospatial team to plan and execute survey and meteorology strategy, survey scanning, and drone programs. You will be responsible for maintenance and oversight of Geospatial processes and procedures, establishing and monitoring of performance metrics, and providing strategic guidance to project leadership on Geospatial personnel, safety, and performance matters. #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership/Supervision

  • Proactively engages with their teams’ development, competency development/assessment, and feedback
  • Develops and recommends construction surveying staffing plan for management teams and prepares employee requisitions.
  • Directs staff employees, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Approves staffing requisitions as delegated by management.
  • Oversees training of direct hire survey personnel.
  • Approves timecards, conducts performance assessments, and addresses employee relations concerns
     

Safety/Quality Control

  • Ensures team’s implementation of safety, quality, and environmental programs.
  • Ensures zero accident philosophy in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
  • Administers Field Training programs
  • Ensures compliance with contract documents
  • Determines that equipment are in conformance to specifications
  • Oversees the review of specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data to assist and advise
  • Leads the review of project design and engineering documents, model, and model data to ensure their completeness and readiness
  • Ensures work methods are planned and executed safely
  • Provides surveying guidance and expertise to senior management and all GBUs
  • Ensure documentation is readily accessible during inspections or audits
  • Conducts assessments and provides reports to project supervision/leadership

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
  • Responsible for Bechtel Survey Global Operations, providing expert survey support to senior management and all GBUs
  • Responsible for working with project teams to ensure training prog
