We hold leadership positions in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and limb-girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMDs), and we currently have more than 40 programs in various stages of development in gene therapy, RNA and gene editing. In 2023, we launched our fourth therapy and the first ever gene therapy to treat Duchenne.

The Importance of the Role
 

Sarepta’s Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy team shapes Sarepta’s overall business strategy by sourcing external innovation and executing on key corporate goals, aligning with the Executive Committee’s vision. The team is lean and brings cross-functional knowledge and experience to support projects and diligence across the organization. The co-op will provide hands-on experience in the diligence of external assets as well as deploy the candidate across various internal strategic projects. In-person collaboration and exposure to various functional leaders will provide the co-op unique learning and networking opportunities across a fully built biotech organization.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

This application is for a 6-month co-op program that will start on July 7th, 2025, and conclude on December 19th, 2025. This is a full-time, 40 hours a week, co-op program.

  • Support Corporate Development / Corporate Strategy leadership to further develop Sarepta’s long-term strategic direction and execute on key corporate initiatives.
  • Contribute to the 2025 annual strategic planning process including the development of our near- and long-term DMD strategy, internal portfolio prioritization, and external innovation strategy.
  • Analyze therapeutic areas (within and beyond current Company focus) to inform innovation direction.
  • Assist in screening and analyzing potential collaboration, license and acquisition opportunities from a commercial, financial, economic and strategic perspective.
  • Assist in project management oversight across various strategic internal and external projects.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts within other corporate functions including Research and Development, Commercial, Intellectual Property and Global Program Teams.
  • Generate executive level presentations for high priority projects and effectively communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

More about You

  • Currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

  • Obtained a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field is a plus.

  • Some experience/knowledge in investment banking or strategy consulting a plus, and/or operational experience in a biopharma organization.

  • Fundamental understanding of drug discovery, development and regulatory process.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple projects.

  • Ability and interest to contribute across the organization; flexibility to accept and contribute to various projects across functions.

  • Must be fully proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint with excellent analytical problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with a strong track record of forming excellent working relationships.

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $22 - $34 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.
