Corporate Counsel

NMI is looking for a dynamic and motivated Corporate Counsel to join the our legal team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Fintech company, advising on a wide range of commercial agreements and corporate issues within a fast-growing and supportive environment.

As Corporate Counsel you will be working across a diverse scope of legal matters. The role includes drafting and negotiating agreements to support our US-based sales team, including payment service provider agreements and software license agreements with merchants and distributors. You will play an integral role providing business-minded legal advice to teammates across NMI by advising on contracting models, privacy, compliance, corporate governance, and other legal issues. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the business's template agreements, contract review guidebooks and responding to customer due diligence.

Requirements

What we hope you will bring to the team:

• 3+ years of legal experience (law firm or in-house)
• Attorney with a JD and membership in good standing in at least one state bar association
• Experience providing practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice across all levels of the business
• Creative and strategic thinker who can create and improve processes and create efficiencies
• Ability to learn quickly and is comfortable navigating new challenges
• Passion for working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate independently and act decisively
