The Corporate Communications Associate supports Cleveland Clinic’s enterprise-wide media and public relations strategy by developing and executing comprehensive communications and media plans for assigned institutes or business units. This role is responsible for crafting compelling press materials, pitching stories, and building strong relationships with local, national, and international media outlets. The Associate also provides strategic communications counsel to institute leaders and key stakeholders.
Working under the guidance of a Senior Public & Media Relations Director, this role collaborates closely with Marketing, Legal, and clinical teams to strengthen Cleveland Clinic’s reputation and elevate key initiatives, innovations, programs, services, and institutional priorities. A caregiver in this position works hybrid Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with onsite requirement one day per week. May require travel to Cleveland Clinic locations and media studios
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Develop, write, and research press materials; news releases, media alerts, media advisories, pitches, pitch letters, content and press kits for local, national and international media.
Maintain patient/story database for assigned areas.
Assist in media training for physicians and other employees in preparation for media interviews.
Perform research for articles, releases, scripts, columns, content and media tips for distribution to media.
Interview Cleveland Clinic physicians and employees to obtain information for media and content opportunities.
Collect relevant information and independently writes and edits press releases, articles and content.
