Core-Cutting Operator (2nd Shift)

JOB SUMMARY
Core cutting operator is responsible for producing cut cores for slitters.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safety and housekeeping for finishing and core cutting areas.
• Utilization and productivity for fininishing.
• Clean and maintain cut-core inventory for fininshing equipment.
• Transport material from department to department (hoist and fork-lift).
• Maintain packing supply inventory.
• The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements.
• Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of TABE (Reading) test.
• Successful completion of IVO (Industrial Vehicle Operator) certification training.
• Successful completion of JSHA (Job safety & Health Analysis) reading.
• Successful completion of GMP (Good manufacturing practices) training.
• Ability to Work Safely and follow instructions.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of tools used in finishing area.
• Basic knowledge of finishing equipment controls and function.
• Initiative
• Communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  

Education\Experience Preferred:

• Experience as a Metals Material Handler
