Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full-time, Rotating Shift, Cook.

Job Qualifications:

• Required Experience:  Cook  <1 year, Food Service- <1 year
• Required Licenses and Certification: Food Handlers (as required by local Health Department).
• Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.
• Reading Comprehension, Speaking, Writing, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Time Management Skills required.

(Up to $2,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates)

Work Full-time 40 hours a week, 8-hour Rotating Shifts (rotating 8-hour shifts can vary from 4 a.m. to an end time of 8 p.m.)

Job Description:

A Cook prepares all hot foods for patient trayline, café, and functions including (but not limited to) entrees, vegetables, starches, and bakery items. Licensure: Food Handlers (as required by local Health Department). Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.
