Levy at Churchill Downs has opportunity for seasonal, part-time employees to join our team for our Fall Racing Meets.

Churchill Downs is home of the Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Derby has been described by Forbes as one of the "Greatest Bucket-list Sporting Events" in America. Every year, on the first Saturday in May, over 150,000 of guests gather under the Twin Spires at Churchill Downs to create lifelong memories with their friends and family.

 

• Our September Racing Meet begins on September 12th and lasts through September 29th
• Our Fall Racing Meet lasts from October 27th- December 1st and includes Thanksgiving and Black Friday
• Those that successfully complete the Fall Racing Meet will receive an automatic invitation to return for our Spring Racing Meet in 2025. Our 2025 Spring Racing Meet lasts from April 26th - June 29th and includes the Kentucky Oaks, the Kentucky Derby, and Downs After Dark

Job Summary

Summary:   Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Sto
